About Mark Deaton

Principal and Co-Founder, Mark Deaton is a seasoned leader with broad knowledge and experience in information technology, data security, facilities management, data center operations, customer service, and change management. His background includes strategic and fiscal planning, budgeting, vendor management, contract negotiations, and organizational development.
Prior to forming Third Sector Connector, Mark was Principal and Founder of Gryphon Investment Properties, LLC where he built and managed a real estate portfolio in the Southeastern United States.
Before that, he was the Director of Technical Services with the ProBusiness division of ADP (NASDAQ:ADP), one of the world's largest providers of business outsourcing solutions. Before ADP, Mark was the Director of Technology at OpenTable (NASDAQ:OPEN), the leading supplier of reservation, table management and guest management software for restaurants around the globe.
Early in his career, Mark spent almost a decade with the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, where he oversaw the rollout of the judiciary's data communications network in a four-state region (Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and Michigan), and managed the circuit headquarters LAN.
Mark has also been a technology consultant for Convergent Communications, Interim Director of Technology for Upside Magazine, and a process consultant for the State of Alabama. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration degree from Auburn University at Montgomery.
